Our weekly Green Roundup will let you know about deals going on at businesses in our green business directory (check it out if you haven't already). We'll also be detailing volunteer opportunities with local non-profits. It's one more way we're hoping to support and shine a light on the work of sustainable entrpreneurs and green businesses in the DFW area. This week -

Recycle Revolution will be at the Dallas Eco-Op this weekend.  If you've not heard of the Eco-op, check out our story on this great venue, home of our environmental leadership awards this year. The co-op is located at 10137A Shoreview Dallas, TX 75238. Drop-Off hours will be Friday 10am - 6pm and Saturday 10am - 3pm. They'll be accepting traditional recyclables, electronic waste, and hard-to-recycle materials. You can get a comprehensive listing of what will be accepted at the website of Recycle Revolution - http://www.recyclerevolutiondallas.com/what-we-do-and-dont-accept/

Also this week, for anyone who lives in the area of the Trinity River near downtown, or anyone interested in issues surrounding development in those areas, the City is hosting a Charrett this Saturday to discuss linking both sides of the divisive Trinity River. The event will be hosted by legendary urban planner Larry Beasley, famous for transforming Vancouver's city scape into something envied around the world. He acts as an advisor to City Design Studio, which is hosting the event. RSVP's are encouraged and they're expecting a big turnout. The event will be this Saturday, Date: Saturday, June 2 from 9am to 2pm at Dallas City Hall (in 2BN at 1500 Marilla). For more info (if you can get past the paywall at the DMN) check out Robert Wilonsky's post on the issues at the DMN blog - http://cityhallblog.dallasnews.com/2012/05/at-dallas-city-hall-on-saturday-a-meeting-to-discuss-how-to-linc-both-sides-of-the-trinity-river.html/
