The return of our weekly green roundup! As we covered this week, the new Perot Museum of Nature and Science, arguably the greenest building in North Texas, opens this Saturday, Dec. 1st. Check out our story on this amazing new asset for Dallas and go on by if you get a chance.

Check out some non-traditional shopping options to combat last week’s Black Friday madness. Local businesses like the nominees and winners in the green retail and resale clothing category of our green business awards abound and would love to have you stop by. One of them, Zola’s everyday vintage has their Christmas windows up and sit smack dab in the middle of the very walkable Bishop Arts District.

At the Promise of Peace Garden, meanwhile, there’ll be a POP OP for leafy greens (with recipes included). You’re welcome to stop by for brunch and enjoy a free winter garden class at noon, while local artists with holiday gifts will be there from 10-1pm. All in all it’ll be a day of great music, with the folks from the Yellow Belly food truck and great people so stop by.
