If you've got family in town for the holidays or are just looking for ways to get out and excercise your legs after all the feasting, don't forget that Chihuly and Fair Park's Chinese Lantern reminder. Chihuly and Chihuly Nights run through December 31st while the Chinese Lantern Festival at Fair Park is running through January 6th. Meanwhile, the newly opened Perot Museum will be open until 9 nightly Dec. 26-30 and Jan. 1-3. In some homegrown Green Source DFW news, the nominations are now open for our 2012 Environmental Leadership Awards. Last year we received dozens of nominations and over 2,000 users voted at least once to honor many of the great environmentally minded organizations and individuals helping to make our community a better place to live. Whether it was through issues related to clean are or sustainable investing, spotlighting the great work of our green community was a great experience. Now it's happening again. Nominate green individuals and organizations whose work has touched you and help to generate buzz to benefit all our efforts and making the Dallas Fort Worth Area more green. Finally, for those in the area of Collin County (or anyone with an affinity for wildlife tours) Lewisville Lake Environmtal Area Wildlife Sanctuary near Lewisville Lake has announced a last chance to sign up for its family hike and story time.  Sat., Dec. 29 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This activity is $7 per person (children 5 years and under get in free).   There'll be a walk to search for animal tracks and signs and leave some edible treats along the trail for area wildlife. Registration is required at 972-219-3930 or by contacting lisacole@unt.edu.
