Our weekly Green Roundup will let you know about deals going on at businesses in our green business directory (check it out if you haven't already). We'll also be detailing volunteer opportunities with local non-profits. It's one more way we're hoping to support and shine a light on the work of sustainable entrpreneurs and green businesses in the DFW area. This week -

You or someone you know looking for an electric charging station somwhere near downtown? Paula Ramirez of the Deep Ellum Community Association (and one of the minds behind the Deep Ellum Community Gardens!) writes to tell us that there are two in Deep Ellum, one at 2630 Commerce St and two at 2909 Main Street, that are scarcely utilized. You're hereby invited to spread the word, because the more this nascent infrastructure is used the more likely it becomes that more will be financed and constructed.

The Dallas Alternative Energy Group wants to get the word out about a change of venue for their meeting this Saturday on Water. They'll discuss how to harvest it from rain, recycle it from grey water, and treat it.The event has moved locations from REI to the Central Market on Preston & Royal Ln. See our updated event listing for details. In other event news, don't forget that this weekend is the Jumpoff Arts Festival. Maybe it's been a few years since you've checked out the Dallas Farmers Market in all its fresh and/or organic produce glory. So what better time to return than with a fun all day event featuring over 100 local artists, live music, and more. See our story.

Finally, DART and other area transit agencies (the T in Fort Worth and the Denton County Transportation Authority) have a deal for the week of June 18 to the 23rd. Anyone who brings a gas receipt to an eligible location will get a free pass for the week. Simple, right? Check the full press release for a full list of locations where you can drop off your receipt to dump the pump and go green.
