Will the world end tomorrow? Is this the last weekly green roundup ever? We doubt it, but just in case we’re making it a good one. For folks who love holiday drinks, Whole Foods Market has published a list of recipes for some hot holiday drinks just in time for the holidays. Whether it’s hot mulled cider, homemade hot chocolate, or dried fruit and herb teas you have quite a few choices to warm your belly.

In other news, Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center in Orange Texas is hosting what are sure to be some beautiful Christmas strolls this year (check out the photo of their meditation circle at the top of the page). Their first stroll is TONIGHT, December 20th, from 6-8 p.m. You can get your admission fee waived by bringing a donation of a non-perishable food item for local charities. If you can’t make it tonight, don’t fret as they’ll have one more stroll on December 22, 6-8 p.m.

In volunteer news, the River Legacy Parks Living Science Center is seeking volunteers to help paint benches tomorrow, Friday December 21st, at 2 p.m. If you want to get into the holiday spirit with some volunteer work you can contact Alma Pohler at alma@riverlegacy.org.

Finally, the folks at Elemental Renovations out of Ft. Worth write to tell us that they’re offering 55 gallon rain barrel kits, fully functional and installed for $175. They can custom paint the barrels to match your back yard or even make it look like a whiskey barrel. Could come in useful if you’re thirsty after tomorrow’s apocalypse right? If not, you’ve supported a local green business and come away with a good product. Check out elemental renovations have a happy holiday –
