It's a three day weekend with lots of cool events to put on your calender! Friday night, the incredibly popular new Perot Museum, sold out so far in advance that they've urged folks to make reservations, is holding an adult tour tonight. Bad news? The event is sold out, and if you haven't already reserved a spot you'll be missing, among other things, a performance of the MaKey MaKey. This little invention allows folks to do crazy things that the world never knew it was missing, like make a piano out of a staircase or a banana. So why are we posting this? It's a warning! Go ahead over to the website of the Perot Museum and register for some of the other scheduled adult tours so that next time you won't miss out. They're scheduled for April, June, and September and at the rate the place is selling out we thought it worth it to give a little heads up. Register here.

What's more fun than learning to save money on your three day weekend? Not many things in my book. Tomorrow, you can learn to save by getting some tips on an energy audit through a seminar at Plano's Environmental Education Center. The event starts at 9:30, but you can use the money you'll save in the day to get yourself part a nice drink to celebrate later that night. For full event details click here.

On Sunday, the Bob Jones Nature Center and Preserve in Southlake is getting Wild Over Winter(W.O.W). This Sunday January 20th from 2-4 the Dallas Zoo will be bringing winter travel team to include penguin, beaver, chinchilla, Eurasian Eagle Owl, and, yes, if this week's cover picture piqued your interest, an alligator will be in attendance! Should be a great event for the family or anyone looking to get out into nature. You'll have to make reservations and the event is limited to the first 60 registrants. Members or family members pay $5 while non-members will pay $10. To read more and register click here.

Finally, what would our weekly green roundup be without a local green sale? This week's comes from Green Living in Dallas's Design District and will probably appeal to folks in the mood for a little home improvement this new year. They're having a sale on green flooring that can help you make your home a little, or a lot, greener. Check it out.
