We're getting off to a delayed start with this week's Weekend Green, but as usual here's a list of some awesome green/sustainable activities to occupy you this weekend. First off, Happy Friday and don't forget about this weekend's arrival of Daylight Savings Time!

The Green Spot Market & Fuels Celebrates its 5 Year Anniversary

‎Green Sport Market & Fuels has brought not only access to biodiesel and other fuels, but also great food and a base for the successful White Rock Local Market on the second and fourth Saturday's. The Market will celebrate its 5 Year Anniversary tomorrow, March 9 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The festivities will coincide with the White Rock Local Market.

The anniversary festivities will include live music. There will also be hourly food and drink specials. These will include $.99 breakfast tacos, free coffee, and $.99 Holy Kombucha. There will be free samples from vendors and a coloring table, juggler, and punch for the kiddos.

Festival Season Kicks Off with 35 Denton and Out of the Loop Fringe Festival

We love festivals here at Green Source DFW. Even if they're not directly
'green' festivals promote density, get people out of their cars and mingling on foot, something that provides an experience close to the community provided by more sustainable urban forms. So it is with great joy that we can say festival season, a time of year increasingly dileneated in Dallas by great events like Home Grown Festival, KXT Summercut, Index Festival, and many many more, gets its big kickoff this week.

First, 35 Denton, one of the year's biggest festivals stretches over four days this weekend, beginning Thursday March 7th & running through March 10th. Then, one of the most unique festivals in the area, Water Tower Theatre's Out of the Loop Fringe Fest, occupies ten days from March 7th - 17th.

Chocolate Decadence at Green Lotus Spa & Retreat

Green Lotus Spa & Retreat, winner in our Best Green Business Awards, is offering its chocolate decadence package until March 10th. It's billed as a  chocolate fix without the calories and should be a great way to celebrate the end of standard time. The package prices are:

$85-Massage $85-Facial
Or $145 for couples
