Globe Life Park in Arlington was named most friendly stadium by PETA.

The Texas Rangers' Globe Life Park might be located in the heart of cattle country, but it leads PETA's list of this year's Top 10 Vegan-Friendly Ballparks. To nab the winning spot – and earn its first appearance on the list in nine years – the stadium upped its game with an all-vegan food cart that offers nachos topped with dairy-free cheese, chili with Beyond Beef Feisty Crumble, black bean tamales, and, of course, burgers and franks.

"Globe Life Park has gone to bat for animals and compassionate baseball fans alike," says PETA executive vice president Tracy Reiman. "PETA is delivering top honors to the Texas Rangers' home field for knocking it out of the park with creative animal-friendly twists on classic stadium food."

The Ballpark Vegan stand in Section 16 near third base was launched last season in response to a grassroots campaign led by McKinney resident Twalla Grant. She started a Facebook page in 2014 called Veggie Texas Rangers Fans to alert management to the need.
