Lot of good free and socially responsible events going on in DFW. Here are some outings coming up this week that caught our eye.

ALL YOU NEED IS LOVE

On Tuesday, June 4, the Unitarian Universalist Church in Oak Cliff continues its First Tuesday Social Justice Film Festival with a screening of Occupy Love. The documentary’s theme is that the dominant system of power is failing to provide us with health, happiness or meaning and that's become the catalyst for a profound awakening. Free. Details.

LOST IN SPACE

Also on Tuesday, June 4, the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History continues its free PUBlic Knowledge speaker series. This month, Don Kessler, formerly of NASA, will speak about the threat of orbiting debris. What better venue to host the event than at the Flyer Saucer  pub in Fort Worth? After the lecture, you can check out the movie Space Junk at the Omni-IMAX Theater at FWMSH. Free. Details.

NAKED TRUTH

The Grove Dallas is a new coworking community that is launching this summer to serve the social mission sector of entrepreneurs, non-profits and artists in Dallas. On Wednesday, June 5, at 6 p.m., marketing hipster Amy King and others will speak on the new age of advertising with the presentation:  "The Naked Business: Radical Transparency and How it Will Help Your Business Thrive." Free. Details.

FEET FIRST

On Thursday, June 6, at 6:30 p.m. at REI in Dallas, Michael Sandler and Jessica Lee, the husband-and-wife coauthors of Barefoot Running: How to Run Light and Free by Getting in Touch with the Earth, will share how barefoot walking and hiking can help you reconnect to the earth and become stronger of body, mind and sole. Free. Details.

JUICED UP

On Saturday, June 8, at 11:30 a.m., the Black Vegetarian Society of Texas hosts Winston Solomon, master juicer, who will conduct a Veggie 201 class on the benefits of juicing at the MLK Library. The class will feature wheat grass juicing and will include samples. RSVP on Facebook. Free. Details.
