Dr. Arthur Ehlmann, noted geologist, will speak about the Woodbine Formation. This geologic formation is not only important as the ground you live on but is one of the most historically valuable rock layers in the history of the oil and gas industry in Texas. The talk will discuss how the formation originated and what is known about it in a regional geologic context.
