Residents in Denton and Collin counties who are interested in lessening their ecological footprint on their communities now have a place to come together in the Sierra Club Cross Timbers Group.

This will be an introductory meeting where attendees can join the Sierra Club, the nation’s largest and most influential grassroots. Members can learn about upcoming meetings where guest speakers will discuss protecting natural areas, water conservation, long-range water planning, gardening and hiking trips. Members will also learn about environmental issues that directly impact Denton and Collin counties.

The Sierra Club Cross Timbers Group will hold meetings in both Denton and Collin counties. If anyone would like to serve on the group’s leadership committee or for more information, contact Brandi Price at brandirealemail@gmail.com.

UPCOMING: The group will hold a water planning meeting with water planning and conservation expert speakers from the Sierra Club’s Lone Star Chapter and local water districts and municipalities on March 23. SEE GREENSOURCEDFW.ORG CALENDAR LISTING.
