Are you ready for a spring frolic? Want to know how to co-create the natural world in which you live? Celebrate the Earth holiday of Beltane with Amy “Moonlady” Martin at Heartspace Spiritual Center.

What does burying the hatchet have to do with Mayday and agricultural teamwork? What is the Bel-Fire and why do we need to jump it? Is there more to the Maypole than being everybody’s favorite phallic symbol? Why did oatmeal and honey mead used to be popular at this time of year?

Beltane exemplifies the co-creation of the natural world, the symbiosis we have with nature and our communities even in urban areas.

Everybody bring cut flowers and greenery. After a short talk, we’ll experience Beltane outdoors with a flower frolic. Those feeing masculine will form a protective enclosure as the feminine ones spiral in to create a giant flower that opens and blooms. To make it amazing, fems should wear tops in shades of violet, purple and pink with white as a default. Manly ones should wear green and brown, and play drums if they’re into that.
