Did you know that the average American home loses 14 percent of their water use to leaks? Attend our no cost workshop to learn how you can perform do-it-yourself minor repairs to save water and help lower your water bill. Below are some of the topics that will be covered at the workshop:
    •    Replacing toilet flapper valves
    •    Fixing leaky faucets
    •    Installing faucet aerators and low-flow showerheads
    •    Water Conservation tips
 Joshua Knickerbocker, a licensed plumber with Dallas Water Utilities will be the instructor.

Is the green in your lawn weeds or grass? Do you have brown circles in your yard? Proper lawn care maintenance is a key component to a healthy lawn. This workshop covers basic lawn maintenance practices and selecting the right turf grass to improve the health and longevity of your landscape. You will learn how maintain your landscape using less water, fertilizers and pesticides.
Daniel Cunningham, a horticulturalist with the Water University at Texas A&M AgriLife Research in Dallas will be the instructor.

Does your rain just run off? Divert it, save it, use it!! Come learn the basics and benefits of rainwater harvesting and the effects stormwater has on the environment. Participants will learn how to collect and utilize rainwater at home and have the opportunity to construct their very own 55 gallon rain barrel. $50 per barrel. RSVP.

Conserving water outdoors can significantly lower our water bills and preserve this precious natural resource. It's time to learn some water saving gardening techniques such as the use of native plants, mulching beds, smaller turf areas and efficient irrigation techniques.

This is a day of beautifying the Trinity River Corridor and working alongside corporate and community volunteers at Moore Park Gateway. Volunteers do not need to sponsor to participate and they don’t have to be a part of a corporation. Sign up on the website link.
