The event supported Green Source DFW, North Texas’ only dedicated environmental news publication whose mission is to promote environmental education and grow the green movement in North Texas.

GSDFW Run “It’s a great cause,” said Dorill. “Anytime we have a president who’s gotten out of an environmental pact, it’s time for us to do all we can.”

Addressing the crowd, Wendel Withrow, director of Green Source DFW, said we can not rely on government to fix our environmental problems.

“It’s not going to happen,” said Withrow. “We need to step up and do our part - we need to recycle, ride share, compost, landscape with native plants, switch to renewable energy  - whatever we can do to help the environment.”
