Those Halcyon days of summer are upon us again. All this week, we're counting down some of the ways to kick it green this summer. These are green businesses and attraction in Dallas that can keep you or (where appropriate) the family entertained all while respecting the environment. It's green and it's fun. Leave your suggestions in comments or on facebook.

It's easy to appreciate the intersection between 'green' and 'fun' perched atop this speakeasy-themed bar/restaurant’s eco-friendly barstools. Bartenders at The People’s Last Stand mix creative, house-made concoctions using as many locally sourced flavors and ingredients as they can get their hands on. Customers can depend on a team of highly trained bartenders to recommend a cocktail, craft beer or hand selected wine suited to their palate and choice of natural and organic culinary cuisine. Foodies are more than welcome to this low-key establishment, as The People’s Last Stand serves fine cheeses and meats, salads with locally sourced produce and signature pinini sandwiches. To top it off, the indoor/outdoor space is built with eco-friendly materials!
